Red Line Oil Expands Torrence Program

LAS VEGAS (Nevada) – Just three days after his victory at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway’s Dodge NHRA Nationals, Top Fuel World Champion Steve Torrence returned to Las Vegas Wednesday to attend the SEMA Show at The Las Vegas Convention Center. He also announced an extension and expansion of his partnership with Red Line Synthetic Oil.

Phillips 66’s performance oil brand will provide the same internal protection that made the Capco Contractors dragsters one of the most dominant in drag racing’s top category for the past five seasons. Red Line Oil Brand Director Mark Beatty has confirmed a multi-year contract extension that will begin in 2022.

Torrence stated that Red Line Oil has a long history. “They have been with us from the beginning, and we are excited to expand our relationship in the future. Red Line protection is a key reason for our success.

Torrence (38) is trying to be the seventh driver in NHRA drag racing history to win four consecutive series championships. Torrence leads by more than 100 points at the Pomona Auto Club Finals, Nov. 12-14, Calif.
His dad Billy was his competitive wingman. The younger Torrence won 42 races over the past five seasons, which is 34 more than any other competitor in this category. Eight more wins have been added by Billy Torrence. This brings Team Torrence’s total wins to 50.

Beatty stated that Capco is excited to explore new opportunities with Steve and Billy. “They truly appreciate our product, and we welcome the chance to continue to validate Red Line Oil under the most difficult mechanical conditions in the most powerful motor-racing vehicles.”
